IMF Chief GETS PIE IN FACE

Michel Camdessus on Sunday received a protestors pie in the face. The WTO believed that Bangkok was a safe place to meet far far away from protesters but they found out that assumption was untrue. The protestor who did the pieing was from the group "FIFTY YEARS IS ENOUGH - U.S. Network for Global Economic Justice". This organization unknowingly is playing into the hands of the people that they think they're against. The Club of Rome in 1972 through the publication "Limits To Growth" by Dennis L. Meadows etal, floated the idea of sustainable growth, now parroted by "Fifty Years Is Enough". The deception is grand today and global in scale and very difficult to understand. 

JEWISH LEADER DEFENDS HAIDER

George Wozasek  President of the Linz Israel Cultural Community west of Vienna stated to the Austrian Press Agency "stronger states wanted to interfere in Austrian's internal politics, and by doing so, they were doing no good,".  He was defending Jorg Haider leader of the Freedom Party. The general sentiment within nationalistic and conservative groups in Austria is that the European Leadership made a mistake in criticizing and starting sanctions against Austria because of Haider's Freedom Party election wins. The European Union's criticism has backfired.

CHINA'S WEB USE UP

Internet use in China is up from around 620,000 users in 1997 to 8.9 million users in Jan. 2000, many are optimistic that the internet will bring freedom to China. The Chinese government will surely never allow the dissent that we have in America. Meanwhile the U.S. Government is taking steps to regulate the internet. The general movement is toward statism in one form or another. The internet perhaps has seen its golden era of freedom, but I hope not.
